Delivery and documentation

How delivery will be documented

Rosie the Bassoonist will document where the logos appeared during Fall season. Sponsors receive a record once it ends.

  • Venue and performance-date list
  • Attendance estimates
  • End-of-run placement record
  • Another verification methodRosie photographs the marked case lid and music stand at selected dates, with the room and the date beside each image.

Documentation comes from the musician and appears in the Door Money record.

Fans

Back the season for $25 or $100

Fans back a season without sponsoring it: a name on the tour thank-you, or on the merch table card at every gig. Door Money holds the money and pays Rosie the Bassoonist weekly, the same as a sponsorship.

Who backs a bassoonist

Small patrons with perfect aim

A musician doesn't need a huge audience when they have the exact audience. A soloist's following is small, but it is made of working players, serious students and the rooms she gigs in. For the right patron, that is their whole market gathered in one place.

Double-reed makersRosie's audience contains working bassoonists and serious students: the people who regularly buy reeds, cane and specialist tools.Fits: the thank-you post, practice sessions, case lid spots
ExamplesForrests Music, Hodge Products, Advantage Double Reeds, Rigotti cane, Marcus Bonna, Fox Products
Repair shops and dealersHer case opens in rehearsal rooms and pits full of working woodwind players. A regional shop is buying proximity, not reach.Fits: case lid spots, music stand
ExamplesCharles Double Reed Company, RDG Woodwinds, Nielsen Woodwinds, Midwest Musical Imports
Schools and festivalsProgram and stand placements reach students, teachers and families already investing in music.Fits: music stand, recital program credit
ExamplesThird Street Music School Settlement, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Mannes, Interlochen
Neighborhood businessesThe shop on the block that wants its local musician to keep playing. No targeting logic. The purest version of the whole idea.Fits: any open sponsorship, usually the cheapest one
ExamplesSahadi's, Devoción, McNally Jackson, Talea Beer Co.

Companies named here are examples of who each sponsorship is built for. None of them are involved with Door Money, and none have bought anything.

If a bid wins

What happens after Sunday, September 13, 2026, 9pm ET

  • The winning bidder puts the money up within 48 hours, or the sponsorship goes to the next bid.
  • The musician approves the logo. The musician always has the final say.
  • The musician plays the season it was already playing.
  • The money reaches the musician week by week as the season goes on.
  • End of the season, the sponsor gets a record of it: every gig, every room, the attendance count.
